New life, new world. Uh "oops, we didn't mean that to happen" consolation prize now that her body was no longer hers but Illyria's.

So dropped naked in a snow storm.

The PTB had really funny ideas of consolation prizes. The mansion was...well it was a mansion. At least if they called the police she'd get a prison jumper and a nice dry cell.

"By the Goddess..." was the last thing she remembered hearing, she thought it was the striking woman with skin about the same color as Gunn's and long white hair.

The gasp caused Hank McCoy to turn to where his patient way lying.

"Don't be alarmed,"

She stared wide eyed.

"My name is Dr. Henry McCoy. I'm a physician...you're at the Xavier Institute for Gifted students."

"Jus' what kinda gifted students...I mean if the school physician is all...furry."

"The students here posses the x-gene, many of them have mutations that are quite powerful or...physically altering such as my own."

"So, you're...human?"

"Indeed."

"Y'all don' eat people or make their heads explode or try to suck the world into hell or anything like that do you?"

"Most assuredly not," Hank said too baffled to be offended.

"Last time I ended up in another dimension humans were slaves and less cared for than cattle and had collars that made their heads explode like smooshed tomatoes. You'd be askin' too."

"We are not violent my dear lady, at least not unless threatened."

She smiled. "Aw, now that I understand. Still bad enough gettin tossed here naked, Powers at least coulda sent my cross bow with me."

Hank blinked. "Are you hungry?"

"You got tacos here?"

"I'll see what can be arranged, Miss..."

"Fred. My name's Fred. Well, Winnifred but," she scrunched up her nose.

Hank smiled.
