The Tower was quiet. Bart was alone, and he didn't like that much, at least not at the moment. Time for him was a relative thing, and to sit here with no one to talk to, no one to watch, not even a super villain trying to destroy things, was an endless hell of boredom.

Kory thought they could manage well enough on their own. More a test of their abilities. That and she had some plans or other she didn't want to cancel. Gar was off doing something too. Victor was at STAR labs working on some--something. Gar went with Vic? Maybe that sounded right. Didn't really matter. Kory wasn't here. Gar wasn't here. Vic wasn't here.

Should have been a fun weekend, with just ex-Young Justice, now Titans, at the Tower for the weekend. Like old times, even. Except not without Tim.

Cassie and BR had gotten into it, over what exactly Bart didn't know, and really didn't care to get his head bit off to ask. Maybe he should look at the security tapes. Eh. Didn't matter he supposed.

Then Kon had gotten into that fight and they were all shouting. Cassie accusing BR of being an imposter, telling her to go the hell away cause they didn't need any bats and she sure as hell didn't want another damn bird brain horning in on her boyfriend.

BR wanted to know what BR stood for. Two different answers were shouted at her.

"Bad Replacement" from Kon and "Bitch Robin" from Cassie, which was really unfair. Bart kinda agreed with the "Bad Replacement" the new Robin was okay as non-meta superheroes went, but not great and not their Robin. He supposed she wasn't bad, but she didn't seem to fit cause she wasn't their Robin, and their Robin had lead them for years now, even when they'd become part of the Titans, the bunch of them stayed together. And while she was probably a great sidekick for Batman, she waltzed in and tried to take their Robin's spot. And well...maybe not even that...but... everyone was in a tailspin about the Robin-switch and no one knew what happened to their Robin...and well...she was kinda catching everything whether she deserved it all or not.

Cassie was fuming about Kon taking off the weekend before to look for Tim when she'd wanted relationship type talking and boyfriend-girlfriend time. She'd been more stunned last week. She evidently got good and ticked off thinking about it through the week because after poor New Robin (Bart supposed he should be nice and not even think BR) got the meanings of BR shouted at her Kon and Cassie tore into each other fighting over Tim. Cassie had been almost as scary as Wonder Woman when she was really mad.

That ended with Cassie shouting "FINE! GO FIND TIM AND DATE HIM!"

"FINE I WILL!" Kon had shouted back and flew off in one direction.

"FINE!!" Cassie shouted and flew off in the other direction.

Bart kinda thought Kon better watch out cause Wonder Woman was likely going to be looking for him to throttle some sense in him again. After all Wonder Woman had wanted Kon's head on a platter just for kissing Cassie a year or so ago. She really wasn't going to be happy that Kon dumped Cassie for Tim, even if Cassie told him to.

Oh boy...what if Wonder Woman gave the Bat an earful? Batman would be furious at all of them. Maybe he would be anyway since the New Robin had got back in her little Robin-jet and flown back to Gotham in tears. At least her Robin-jet had a good autopilot. He knew it did cause it used to be Tim's Robin-jet. They were all probably dead, and they definitely were going to be in trouble for a good long time. He wished that he had someone around here to talk to. He really couldn't leave because someone had to be on monitor duty.

At least the older Titans' would sort of understand. They'd still be tworked to no end. Bart shuddered, Kory ticked off was scary. They'd understand. After all, their Robin was Nightwing now and they got how it was with Robin's being team leader and all. Tim never tried to step in and take Nightwing's place. And maybe New Robin wasn't trying to do that but that's how they all felt anyway.

"I wish someone was here," Bart groaned aloud.

The air shimmered and a very strange looking bumpy faced kinda demon looking woman appeared for a second. " Wish Granted. Tell him I owed Anyanka. He can't go back, but he can make a life here easy enough" The air shimmered again and the demon-looking woman disappeared and a guy fell out of the air and landed on Bart's lap.

Xander groaned. He felt like he'd been run over by a train. What hit him? And why was the world vibrating under his butt?

Slowly it came back to him. Graveyard, demon, very pathetic wanna-be Apocalypse, the usual weekend fare not the semi-annual to annual world comes within five minutes of ending type. Annoying blue skinned, horned warlock of a demon causing all sorts of havoc in down town Cleveland. Trying to open the Hellmouth, or barring that get a willing sacrifice so it could go home. Some screwball magical/hell dimensional thing it either had to end the entire freaking world or have a willing sacrifice to go home. And demon boy really wanted to get home before his mother found out he'd snuck out and sent his father to drag him home by the horns. Their kind could travel dimensions but there was one hell of a catch for getting back home--literally. And if Junior who seemed to be about the equivalent of a twelve year old managed to cause a dozen deaths, three major riots and a few fires, not to mention just general property-damage be demonic-havoc, running around like a panicked little twit, none of them really wanted to see what Daddy Demon would do. That could be a come-within-five-minutes-of-the-end-of-the-world type Apocalypse.

Xander had stupidly stepped up to volunteer to be banished to a random dimension which was a good enough sacrifice to get Demon boy home before Mommy and Daddy demon came looking. He didn't have mojo, didn't have super powers, wasn't good with the research sorta stuff. He was comic relief, cuddle crying girls while handing them Kleenex guy and resident stake carver. They could get by without him. He wasn't going to let Faith do it. She was the Senior Active Slayer since Buff was doing the retired I'm-going-to-be-so-normal-it's-psychotic shtick for Dawn. He wasn't letting any of the baby slayers volunteer.

Magic whammy, vortex and he just knew he'd seen a vengeance demon in that vortex. He really didn't want to open his eyes and see where he was or what was holding him.

"Are you okay?"

English. That was a good start at least. And the voice sounded concerned not you look like something tasty to feed my spawn. Male voice. Even better. Female demons were the worst for things like wanting to feed him to their spawn.

Okay Xan-man, c'mon you just saved the world you can open your eyes.

Yeah but saving the world just involved reacting not thinking.

Open your eyes, chicken.

Xander opened his eyes. It seemed like a better idea than arguing with himself on some unknown demon's lap.

Unusual golden eyes, human looking with sandyish-redish sort of hair. Normal enough looking except for the spandex...but at least this guy seemed to have the body for a spandex outfit. Xander guessed him later teens maybe. "Uh hi....how did I get here? Where is here and who are you?"

"You fell out of a vortex in the ceiling just after this really freaky woman thing showed up and said you couldn't go back but could live here easy enough and that she'd owed Anyanka. Here is the Titans' Tower and I'm Bart."

"Is there a reason on I'm on your lap and--you had to have said the W word. As in W-I-S-H the word you should never never say cause all sorts of awful happens if a Vengeance Demon hears you."

"You landed in my lap--and I wi-"

"Don't say that word!"

"Was wanting someone here cause I'm by myself and bored."

"Did I hurt you?"

Bart shrugged. "Mmm I got a pretty bad bruised. Speed healing took care of it."

"Speed healing" Xander repeated. This was going to be an interesting dimension to live in. He could tell already.
