Xander was head over heels for the young witch. Wednesday was as unique as her name preferring long black dresses and heavy black eye shadow which made her dark eyes look that much darker.

Yeah, he loved Wednesday.

Her family....

Xander shuddered. "You sure you can spare us Willow?"

"Go on. Wednesday actually has a family to spend the holidays with, things are pretty quiet go on."

His best friend was a traitor. He'd managed to come up with a crisis for her to avoid Kennedy's hoity toity family, who were no where near as scary as Wednesday's psycho relatives.

"Your coat," Lurch groaned out and grabbed the back of Xander's coat as they entered the house. Xander was still in the coat and lifted off the ground. Some undignified yelping and wiggling later Xander fell flat on his butt on the entryway floor, Lurch still had his coat in his grasp.

"Xander darling, you're looking quite well,"

"Thank you Mrs--"

"Ah ah ah,"

"Morticia" Xander managed. His arm was nearly yanked from the socket as Pugsley helped him up. He yelped in pain but managed "Thanks, Pugsley"

"Mother, Father" Wednesday stuck her hand out without another word or even much emotion showing the ring with it's small diamond Xander had bought her.

"Oh, Gomez, look, our little girl is engaged."

"Congratulations there kids," Gomez chewed on the end of his cigar.

"So Wednesday, have you and your fiance set a date..."

"Tish, you spoke French!" Gomez grabbed Morticia's hand "You know what that does to me. mwuh, mwuh, mwuh, mwuh" he began noisily kissing his way up her black clad arm.

Uncle Fester came lumbering in. "I've figured out how to do it!"

Everyone was nearly blinded by the shifting colors of the strobing light in Uncle Fester's mouth.

It's only a week, you love Wednesday, it's only a week. You can do this. It's only a week.

He loved Wednesday, but why hadn't he been smart enough to fall for an orphan?
